The objective in this study was to identify the effects of the principal on the climate of the school by conducting a survey of teachers employed at the principal’s school. Researchers regard the organizational effectiveness of the school to be related to the health of the school climate. In our study we used The Healthy School Scale developed by Akbaba (1997), which was adapted for use in Istanbul by these researchers in 2012. Results revealed that the principal plays a crucial role in the formation of the school climate.
