- Abstract
- Compared with scores obtained under standard directions, instructions to fake an “awful personality” on the Eysenck Personality Inventory produced significant increases in neuroticism and extraversion. An explanation for the unexpected increase in extraversion in terms of the multifactor composition of the E scale is discussed.
